CanaanLand Children's Home
"A Home Under The Son"
Sharing the Vision
Goals and Objectives
CanaanLand Children's Home, Inc. has three (3) goals and objectives in mind:
(1) Our goal is to keep children of the same family together so family members (children) will not be separated.
(2) Our goal is to provide for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the children
in our care.
(3) To help *families of those children who had been placed in our care, to regain control over their lives, where applicable, so that they can provide for their children themselves.
*Future:
We will work toward providing help for these families through CanaanLand's Social worker, through counseling, educational opportunities and job placement as needed. We recognize that families can through job lay-off and other reasons get to where they can not provide for their family, but with help can come to the place of providing for their family again

Our mission also is to provide permanent or emergency shelter not only for children of Surry County, but also for children outside the Surry County area as needed for same reasons. Our mission is to provide food, shelter, clothing, education, love and other necessities of life. Our mission is to minister to the needs of all children that come under our care and to provide a loving stable environment for the children, to maintain an environment that will offer each child a chance to develop into a confident young adult with a high degree of self sufficiency and work ethic with a clear sense of right and wrong.
